    The Administration Staff Group at Catholic Education Melbourne provide a diverse range of services which support the work of all Catholic Education Melbourne Staff Groups.

    These services are largely day-to-day operational tasks and cover the following responsibilities:

    General Office including Reception, Switchboard and Administrative support functions

    Responsibilities for Reception include:

    • front desk reception for visitors
    • issuing Catholic Education Melbourne Staff Security Passes
    • issuing Visitors’ passes
    • overseeing meeting room bookings
    • monitoring of Sick Bay
    • general administrative support, as required. 

    Responsibilities for Switchboard include:

    • receipt and forwarding of incoming calls
    • updating of Catholic Education Melbourne phone lists
    • Pool Car bookings and key administration
    • educational and employment newspaper cuttings
    • Statements of Catholic Education Service (Victoria-wide)
    • general administrative support as required.

    Catholic Education Melbourne Registry

    Catholic Education Melbourne Registry is responsible for providing a range of administrative and records management functions to facilitate the receipt, storage, distribution and physical control of incoming mail and records received by and generated within the Office.

    Catholic Education Melbourne Archives

    Catholic Education Melbourne Archives is responsible for the identification, selection and preservation of its official records as well as those of other Commissions, Boards and Committees. Official records are stored and managed at the Catholic Education Melbourne Archives for the purpose of documenting the function, development and history of the aforementioned bodies, as well as recording their contribution to Catholic education in Victoria.

    Mailroom / Catholic Education Melbourne Travel Bookings / Stationery Supplies responsibilities include:

    • daily distribution of internal mail, despatch of external mail & publications
    • Catholic Education Melbourne travel and accommodation bookings
    • provision of James Goold House (JGH) stationery supplies
    • oversight of the operation and consumables of JGH photocopiers
    • JGH phone changes and problem solving
    • Audio Visual equipment loan administration
    • binding of booklets
    • recycling collections
    • courier services
    • back-up for JGH Switchboard

    Canteen / Catering responsibilities include:

    • hospitality services for JGH meeting rooms
    • provision of refreshments for morning tea
    • co-ordination of catering requirements for professional learning and functions
    • provision of supplies for JGH kitchenettes
    • defrosting and cleaning of JGH fridges.
