  • Quality Teacher Program

    Fifteen Professional Learning (PL) projects were funded through the Australian Government Quality Teacher Program (AGQTP) across Victorian Catholic schools in 2010.

    Collectively these projects involved over 2,200 teachers from 405 schools*. Within each project there were various models of PL delivery, most with an emphasis on action research supporting sustainable, ongoing improvement in teacher practice.

    Titles of the ten 2010 Catholic Education Melbourne programs are listed below, which involved collectively 1,065 teachers from 225 schools*.

    • Contemporary Learning in Science
    • Gifted Students – International Best Practice
    • ESL Literacy in the Primary Curriculum
    • Exploring the Contemporary Learning Landscape (delivered through Catholic Education Melbourne Regional Offices)
    • Leadership Framework and Standards - Implementation
    • Literacy & Numeracy Framework and Cultural Literacies
    • Mentoring to Improve Secondary Learning and Teaching
    • Leading Professional Learning
    • Student Transition and Engagement
