Gerard Dalbosco retired as a Partner at EY, following a distinguished career where he held a number of senior leadership roles including Oceania Managing Partner and CEO; Asia Pacific Managing Partner – Markets, and Joint Deputy CEO; Oceania Managing Partner – Transaction Advisory Services; and Melbourne Managing Partner.

Prior to these roles he advised many organisations, across a range of sectors, in respect of their capital agenda, including merger and acquisitions advice, valuations, and strategic, commercial and financial due diligence.

Gerard has considerable governance experience, with current roles including Medibank Private Ltd (Director, Chair of Audit Committee and member of Risk Committee), Gillespie Family Council and Gillespie Family Foundation (Chair), and the Melbourne Prize Trust (Director).

Previous governance roles have included Mercy Health (Director and Chair of Finance and Audit Committee), Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak (Chair and Chair of Finance Committee), Committee for Melbourne (Director, Deputy Chair and Chair of Finance, Audit and Risk), Berry Street (Director and Member of Finance Committee), Newman College (member of Finance Committee) and NGV Business Council (Chair).

Róisín Annesley is a senior member of the Victorian Bar with almost 30 years’ legal experience. Róisín practises in the areas of torts, professional negligence, insurance and professional disciplinary matters. She has a strong commercial litigation background.

Róisín brings significant legal and ethical knowledge and corporate governance experience to MACS. In her various leadership roles of and on behalf of the Victorian Bar, she has been a director of a number of companies and/or charitable trusts. Formerly she was a long serving Trustee and Director of Law Aid, a charitable trust established by the Law Institute of Victoria and the Victorian Bar Counsel, to provide assistance in civil litigation to those who would otherwise be unable to afford its costs.

Róisín is currently a Vice President of the Australian Bar Association; Chair of Lennon’s List Barristers; the immediate past President of the Victorian Bar and a former long-serving member and Chair of the Victorian Bar Ethics Committee. Róisín is the author of The Good Conduct Guide, which provides guidance to barristers in the ethical principles of good practice.

Professor Greg Craven is one of Australia’s foremost education leaders and legal scholars, with a long and distinguished history of contributions to higher education, law, policy and the Catholic Church.

Educated at St Kevin’s College and the University of Melbourne, Professor Craven has held leadership, research and teaching positions at the University of Melbourne, Monash University, Curtin University, the Victorian Parliament, University of Notre Dame Australia and Australian Catholic University. An expert in public law, Professor Craven has researched and written on constitutional law, government, public policy, constitutional history and federalism. Professor Craven was the Vice Chancellor and President of Australian Catholic University for 13 years. Under his leadership, the university embedded a culture of performance and service excellence, continuing a legacy of Catholic intellectual tradition, faith and reason.

Professor Craven has a long history of service to the community, having served on many public bodies including the Truth, Justice and Healing Commission, the National School Resourcing Board and the Teacher Education Expert Standing Committee of the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership. He previously served as a Commissioner of the National Catholic Education Commission.

In recognition of his contributions to higher education, law, policy and the Church, Professor Craven was made an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia, and appointed by Pope Francis as a Consultant to the Holy See’s Congregation for Catholic Education and as a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St Gregory the Great.

Fr Michael Gallacher is the Parish Priest of St Roch’s, Glen Iris, having been appointed there in January 2017. Ordained in 2012, Fr Michael completed postgraduate study in canon law and serves as a member of the diocesan Tribunal. Fr Michael also played an integral role on the Steering Committee, leading to the establishment of MACS.

Carolyn Ireland is an experienced company director with a long and distinguished career in a variety of executive and directorial roles in the finance, health, not-for-profit and pharmaceutical industries.

A chartered accountant, MBA and member of the AICD, Carolyn is currently General Manager, Investor Relations and Strategy, at Pact Group, an ASX listed entity. Prior roles have included Head of Strategy and Investor Relations at Australian Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, Group Treasurer at Australian Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, Epworth HealthCare and Australian Unity, and Chief Financial Officer at GBS Venture Partners.

Carolyn brings a deep experience of the education sector to the MACS board as a director of the Xavier College Foundation. She is also a director of International Women’s Development Agency, an aid agency operating across South-East Asia, and director of Defence Health, one of Australia's largest private health insurers, where she chairs the Investment Committee.

Geraldine Leslie is a human resources executive with significant experience in leading people and business operations, including human resources, safety, diversity and inclusion, culture, capability, change management, corporate affairs and customer services.

As the Executive Manager Human Resources for the Salvation Army Australia (TSA), Geraldine leads the Human Resources function across TSA, incorporating HR Business Partnering, Workplace Relations, Work Health and Safety, HR Operations, Payroll and Volunteer Resources. Geraldine has worked in senior executive and leadership roles within a diverse range of organisations in energy, manufacturing, health and local government.

Geraldine has also been a past member of the White Lion Leadership Advisory Council, held roles on the Ai Group’s Victorian State Council and National Advisory Council, and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

John McLindon is an executive leader with a distinguished career using data insights and technology to deliver effective company growth strategies, and develop large-scale public policy.

John is the CEO of SwiftFox CRM, a tech platform that uses artificial intelligence to help organisations understand their data and make better data-led decisions.

John also has experience at the highest levels of government, including four years as the Chief of Staff to Victorian Premier the Hon Daniel Andrews, working closely with the Premier, the Victorian Cabinet and the heads of the Victorian Public Service on the implementation, delivery and communication of the Victorian Government’s policy agenda.

John also serves on the Board of Directors of both Musculoskeletal Australia and The Red Fox Group, a data company he co-founded.

Lucinda Nolan has had a formidable career in public and emergency services, having served as the first female CEO of the Country Fire Authority (CFA), one of the world’s largest volunteer-based emergency service organisations.

Prior to joining the CFA, Lucinda spent 32 years with the Victoria Police, reaching the rank of Deputy Commissioner. Much of the role was dedicated to the continual improvement of service delivery in the face of complex and competing crime, disorder and service demands. She was awarded the Australian Police Medal in 2009.

Passionate about community service and adding public value, Lucinda has extensive experience in working with governments, managing high-profile incidents and advocating for change.

Previously the CEO of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, Lucinda brings to the board extensive corporate governance experience through current and previous directorships at BankVic, Hawthorn Football Club, Alkira and the Penington Institute.

Dr Margaret O’Donnell OAM has had a long and distinguished career in Catholic education, having served as a principal for more than 20 years, and brings a keen insight into the challenges school leaders and teachers face in delivering a uniquely Catholic education.

Dr O’Donnell served as a Catholic school principal firstly at St Pius X School, Heidelberg West, and subsequently at St Gregory the Great School, Doncaster.

As a principal, Dr O’Donnell introduced advanced literacy programs that lifted the educational standards at her schools, improved engagement with the student body and improved conditions at the school by investing in capital works. In 2002, she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Education by Australian Catholic University.

Following her retirement as a principal, Dr O’Donnell worked as a principal consultant in the Archdiocese of Melbourne to support the principals of 16 schools from Mornington to St Kilda in the southern region.

Dr O’Donnell brings corporate governance experience through her service on the Board of St Vincent de Paul in Victoria and as a committee member of the Eastern Palliative Care Association.

In 2018, Dr O’Donnell was awarded with the papal Croce Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice. This award from Pope Francis recognises distinguished service to the Catholic Church. She is a member of the Order of Malta.

Tim O’Leary is Executive Director Stewardship at the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne, responsible for the business, financial and governance aspects of the Archdiocese. He has held senior corporate affairs, human resources and sustainability executive roles at Mobil Oil Australia, National Australia Bank and Telstra.

Tim has extensive corporate governance experience, including as a director of Mercy Health and member of Council at Newman College.
